Mirrors the Python coverage gap closure: every derived-only helper (memoryDbPath, nativeMemoryDir, logDir, rtkPath, beaconLockPath, pluginConfigDir, etc.) now has both a default test and an override test that exercises the canonical workspace env var end-to-end.
