fa42e6a113 MdeModulePkg: Add support for generation of HEST table
Add support for generation of HEST table with the help of a remote
RAS agent. The HEST table is generated but the error descriptors
(in GHESv2 or other platform specific format) are fetched from the
RAS agent.

8c50e656c0 MdeModulePkg: : revert EndofDxeEvent TPLs to TPL_NOTIFY for FPDT
commit aa02571 ("MdeModulePkg: Change EndofDxeEvent TPLs to TPL_CALLBACK")
changed EndOfDxeEvent TPLs from TPL_NOFIY to TPL_CALLBACK.

However this commit makes a boot failure on the FVP platform when FPDT
ACPI table generation is enabled:

  [FirmwarePerformanceDxe] Error when lock variable FirmwarePerformance, Status = Write Protected

  ASSERT_EFI_ERROR (Status = Write Protected)
  ASSERT [FirmwarePerformanceDxe] FirmwarePerformanceDxe.c(405): !(((RETURN_STATUS)(Status)) >= 0x8000000000000000ULL)

Currently, EVT_NOTIFY_SIGNAL events are managed in FILO order,
as new events are inserted using InsertHeadList().

The sequence is as follows:

  1. DxeCore initializes DxeCorePerformanceLib, whose constructor creates
     an EndOfDxe event (gEfiEndOfDxeEventGroupGuid) with the
     ReportFpdtRecordBuffer() callback.

  2. MmCommunicationDxe (in ArmPkg) creates another EndOfDxe event to
     notify StandaloneMm. This event is inserted ahead of the one created
     in (1).

  3. PlatformBootManagerBeforeConsole() signals EndOfDxe, which triggers
     the event created in (2) first.

  4. When the callback from (2) runs, StandaloneMm calls
     LockVariablePolicy().

  5. The callback from (1) is then invoked and attempts to update FPDT via
     InstallFirmwarePerformanceDataTable(). During this process, it tries
     to register a variable policy for the FirmwarePerformance variable.
     However, since the Variable Policy interface was locked in (4), the
     operation fails with EFI_WRITE_PROTECTED.

To resolve this issue, revert EndofDxeEvent TPLs to TPL_NOTIFY for FPDT.

7a934d0bef MdeModulePkg: Replace include guards with #pragma once
Replace traditional `#ifndef`/`#define`/`#endif` include guards with
`#pragma` once.

`#pragma once` is a widely supported preprocessor directive that
prevents header files from being included multiple times. It is
supported by all toolchains used to build edk2: GCC, Clang/LLVM, and
MSVC.

Compared to macro-based include guards, `#pragma once`:

- Eliminates the risk of macro name collisions or copy/paste errors
  where two headers inadvertently use the same guard macro.
- Eliminate inconsistency in the way include guard macros are named
  (e.g., some files use `__FILE_H__`, others use `FILE_H_`, etc.).
- Reduces boilerplate (three lines replaced by one).
- Avoids polluting the macro namespace with guard symbols.
- Can improve build times as the preprocessor can skip re-opening the
  file entirely, rather than re-reading it to find the matching
  `#endif` ("multiple-include optimization").
  - Note that some compilers may already optimize traditional include
    guards, by recognzining the idiomatic pattern.

This change is made acknowledging that overall portability of the
code will technically be reduced, as `#pragma once` is not part of the
C/C++ standards.

However, this is considered acceptable given:

1. edk2 already defines a subset of supported compilers in
   BaseTools/Conf/tools_def.template, all of which have supported
   `#pragma once` for over two decades.
2. There have been concerns raised to the project about inconsistent
   include guard naming and potential macro collisions.

Approximate compiler support dates:

- MSVC: Supported since Visual C++ 4.2 (1996)
- GCC: Supported since 3.4 (2004)
  (http://gnu.ist.utl.pt/software/gcc/gcc-3.4/changes.html)
- Clang (LLVM based): Since initial release in 2007

932db9df0c MdeModulePkg/AcpiTableDxe: PCD switch to avoid using ACPI reclaim memory
UEFI spec defined ACPI Tables at boot time can be contained in memory of
type EfiACPIReclaimMemory or EfiAcpiMemoryNVS, although InstallAcpiTable
with AcpiTableProtocol will only allocate memory with type
EfiACPIReclaimMemory (Except FACS).

This patch provides an optional method controlled by PCD to avoid using
EfiACPIReclaimMemory, by setting the PCD PcdNoACPIReclaimMemory to TRUE,
all ACPI allocated memory will use EfiAcpiMemoryNVS instead.

0e0ae47da6 MdeModulePkg/AcpiTableDxe: use pool allocations when possible
On AArch64 systems, page based allocations for memory types that are
relevant to the OS are rounded up to 64 KB multiples. This wastes
some space in the ACPI table memory allocator, since it uses page
based allocations in order to be able to place the ACPI tables low

Since the latter requirement does not exist on AArch64, switch to pool
allocations for all ACPI tables except the root tables if the active
allocation policy permits them to be anywhere in memory. The root

53be772103 MdeModulePkg/BootGraphicsResourceTableDxe: Use BmpSupportLib

https://github.com/Microsoft/MS_UEFI/tree/share/MsCapsuleSupport

2b9f111f2e

Use BmpSupportLib to convert a GOP BLT Buffer to the BMP graphics
image that is published in an ACPI BGRT table.

* Remove use of IndustryStandard/Bmp.h include file
* Remove mBmpImageHeaderTemplate. This is handled by BmpSupportLib
* Clean up code style with function prototypes at top
  and all module global variables together
* Update SetBootLogo() to use SafeIntLib to check input parameters
  for overflows.
* Remove internal function BgrtAcpiTableChecksum(). Use
  CalculateCheckSum8() directly from BgrtReadyToBootEventNotify()
* Remove InstallBootGraphicsResourceTable(). Move all the code into
  BgrtReadyToBootEventNotify() that is signaled at ready to boot.
* Remove all logic that converts a GOP BLT buffer to a BMP graphics image
  and use BmpSupportLib function TranslateGopBltToBmp() instead.
* Use AllocatePool() instead of AllocatePages() to allocate copy of
  BMP image that is provided by BGRT. This is required to be compatible
  with BmpSupportLib function TranslateGopBltToBmp() that uses
  AllocatePool().
* Zero OemId in BGRT header before filling in value from PCD.
* Get size of PcdAcpiDefaultOemId and only copy the the size of the PCD
  if it is smaller than the size of the OemId field in the BGRT header.
* Use WriteUnaligned24() instead of CopyMem() for the OemTableId field
  of the BGRT header.

6a3094c996 MdeModulePkg/BootScriptExecutorDxe: remove NX attr for FfsBuffer
If PcdDxeNxMemoryProtectionPolicy is set to enable protection for memory
of EfiReservedMemoryType, the BIOS will hang at a page fault exception
triggered by BootScriptExecutorDxe.

The root cause is that this driver will allocate memory of
EfiReservedMemoryType and relocate itself into this new memory. Since
EfiReservedMemoryType of memory is marked non-executable, re-start this
driver after relocation will cause exception. The fix is removing the NX
attribute after memory allocation.

0a274516ff MdeModulePkg/S3SaveState: Extract arguments in correct order
EFI_BOOT_SCRIPT_WRITE() interface is a var-arg interface.

Spec defines the order of parameters for
EFI_BOOT_SCRIPT_PCI_CONFIG2_WRITE_OPCODE as below:

  typedef
  EFI_STATUS
  (EFIAPI *EFI_BOOT_SCRIPT_WRITE) (
    IN CONST EFI_S3_SAVE_STATE_PROTOCOL *This,
    IN UINT16 OpCode,
    IN EFI_BOOT_SCRIPT_WIDTH Width,
    IN UINT16 Segment,
    IN UINT64 Address,
    IN UINTN Count,
    IN VOID *Buffer
  );

But implementation assumes Segment is in the very end, after Buffer.
Similar spec/implementation gaps are also found for
EFI_BOOT_SCRIPT_PCI_CONFIG2_READ_WRITE_OPCODE.

The patch fixes the implementation to extract the arguments in
correct order.
